Postby crownroyal on Mon 21. Nov, 2005 02:26

I have installed the autogroup and love it, I have created a group called everyone with zero post so when they register they are all in this group but I really need is to throw in my 5000 members into this group, is there and way i can put my existing members into this group and not just the newest members that have join after the date I installed this?

please help.

thanks in advance.

Yes.
when you modify the usergroup (ACP -group management)
you can fill the post count value (min/max)
you may also check the box "add new users", "delete new users"
these 2 checkboxes are only looked at once you save the usergroup propertyes - e.g. after you have changed the postcount.

Checking the "add new users" will make the script add all users witch now meet the postcount (this is what you need to do)

Checking the "delete new users" will remove any user from the usergroup, witch does not meet the postcount...

Both checkboxes can be useful if you change the postcount or create a new autogroup.

sometimes admin may deside to change the required postcount, and at same time keep the exisitng users in the group, other times the admin would like the new postcount to be reflected imidiatly - thse 2 boxes makes it selectedble for admin how it should behaive.

hope you get the point
(if a how-to is EM ready, it will mostly be bullet prof, since a machine is more picky than a human. :D)
