Postby rossmcc on Sun 03. Oct, 2004 16:24

Need a little help with my links page - http://www.xboxelite.uni.cc/forum/links.php - they're not showing up when I add them int he ACP - it just shows lots of header rows...

Any ideas?

Same problem here...just get a gradient bar where categories and link(s) should be.

I asume you have marked the link as "active" in ACP ?
also make shure the links are set to be displayed for a user with your "level" -
both settings is configurable in the links management page inside ACP

Hi Niels, I am having the same problem as the other folks.
First I ran the db_update.php file and it was fine, then I added and edited everything.
I then went to my ACP panel clicked on management under LINKS. I then made a Category and sub Catogory and then tried to add a link. It wouldn't let me. It kept telling me I needed to create a Sub-Category... So I played around, created another Category and Sub-Category and was able to add links to that sub-category only. If I create another then there is no area for me to say where the link goes. Into which Category or sub-caegory. I did find that after you add a link and click on edit you could change the link category but it didn't work. I did check the Yes box for viewing and set it for registered. I am the administrator but yet when I go to the index page and click on links all I get are the grey lines with no text.

Do you have any idea what is not working on this?

I see no mark active feature, what so ever, in the ACP..

the 'active link' bit can be found when you click on 'edit' after you've added the links.

however, i do have the same problem, links not showing up. just a few rows with a gradient background.

perhaps it has to do something with other mods that are installed...?

EDIT: I should have looked further in here first :)

delete the database table links. and then run links_db_update.php again. it works for me too :D
