hi,

I used EasyMod to install the ModCP panel on my forums (2.06). When I use a test account to view the MCP, all that is there is the regular index for admins and in the navigation pane - there is just a tiny bit of info about my computer and a huge load of random symbols.

Any ideas?

OK, you have no module link :)

it seems you are using phpBB 2.0.6, for security issue and to be compliant with the ModCP, you should update to phpBB 2.0.10

The ModCP was tested on phpBB 2.0.8 - 2.0.10
No guarantee it will work with past version

well, I grabbed the download off phpbbhacks.com and it said there that it worked on 2.0.6

I really don't want to update because personally, I can't see much benefit apart from fixing some security issues - which I've done with the topic from phpbb.com and various mods to protect it.

I'm more interested in waiting for phpbb2.2 which I see as more sensible approach to updating.

Thanks, anyway for solving why ModCP didn't work - I'll now just disappear, fix some other mods to work on it and remove ModCP.

If you do have any solutions etc and remember me...drop me an email please ;)

phpBB 2.2 will have an update for 2.0.10 but not sure it will add an update for older version

Maybe, try to remove your modcp directory and re-upload new files
same thing with files in templates/subSilver/modcp
Be sure you are using subSilver and not another template with differents classes than sub
