When logged in as administrator, I cannot change an administrator to a normal user. I have a member that is an administrator right now that I would like to change to normal user so I can give them mod cp access instead of administrator cp access.

Is there a way to do this? After editing the admin_ug_auth.php file, I was no longer able to change it by a simple drop down.

I am okay with editing a file for that user if I knew where to look. Otherwise having the drop down ability would be nice.

if after editing the admin_ug_auth file you haven't allow to edit a user status ADMIN/user, you should try to replace your old file with a new from phpBB package

otherwise you can edit user's rank into your database
open table phpbb_users, display all fields and sort by rank id
edit the user's rank id (should be 1) to 2 (= moderator) or 0 (= reg user)
-1 = guest user
