Admin Control Panel Settings?

Postby Yoeddy on Fri 15. Oct, 2004 14:39

First of all, great mod! Just have a couple of questions.

When I install this, are there any settings within the Admin control panel for me to adjust which of my moderators can use this feature? I didn't see anything in my ACP. I don't want all of my moderators to use this function. Is there a way for me to pick and choose which of my mods get to use it?

Also, I have a private family board and I noticed that the Mods will have access to permissions. They could go in and set the board to viewable for themselves or anyone for that matter. Anyway to disable that?

Thanks guys!

Hi

First, no there is no setting to assign a per Moderator permissions
so all Moderators will have access to ModPC
but there is a truck to change that

Second, by default, Moderators cannot edit forums permissions
if they can, you have added something you should not in the modcp directory

remove a file called admin_forumauth.php or admin_ug_auth.php
or use admin_ug_auth.php included in the contrib directory if you want allow your mods to control usergroups permissions

About restrict ModCP Zone to a certain rank (not level), you can create a new special rank like: "My Best Moderator", assign this new rank to your moderators whose you want have access to ModCP
Then try this little change in includes/page_tail.php
http://mods.db9.dk/viewtopic.php?p=16302#16302
replace rank_id # with the one you created :)

In a new version of the User Level Mod (link in my sign), it will have a new level like global moderator who will have access to all forums like admin
this new level will can be used with the ModCP instead of MOD level...

So instead of the rank number 5, I would just enter in "My Best Moderator" into the code?

What would I need to do to delete everything other than Ban Control and User Management? These are the only two things I want the Mods to be able to see and manipulate.

Thanks!

no lol

you need to add rank ID = a number
you can find this number in your database -> table phpbb_user -> column user_rank

about modules, just remove files biginning with admin_xxx.php
to keep ban control and user panel, admin_ban and admin_users
