problem with global announcment mod...

I followed the exact install instructions for the global announcment mod.... and every single post is posted a STICKY.... how do i fix this... and make it so that NORMAL POSTS show up as NORMAL POSTS... STICKIED POSTS show up as STICKIED POSTS... and so on... someone please help...
