Missing Memberlist, FAQ, etc, etc from Page Header...

Postby seteo-bloke on Mon 19. May, 2003 13:48

As the title says. Since I've installed the EP mod here I've lost the above in the Pageheader when a user is logged in.

I'm using the latest version of the mod on a 2.04 board. I've looked through everything that I can think of and can't solve it. :?

Can someone help me out with this?.

I'm kinda stuck at the mometn becasue I want to add some mods which require a link in that part of the Pageheader, but they won't show. :(

Thanks. :)

$type's accepted (pre-pend with AUTH_):
VIEW, READ, POST, REPLY, EDIT, DELETE, STICKY, ANNOUNCE, GLOBALANNOUNCE, VOTE, POLLCREATE

Possible options ($type/forum_id combinations):

* If you include a type and forum_id then a specific lookup will be done and
the single result returned

* If you set type to AUTH_ALL and specify a forum_id an array of all auth types
will be returned

* If you provide a forum_id a specific lookup on that forum will be done

* If you set forum_id to AUTH_LIST_ALL and specify a type an array listing the
results for all forums will be returned

* If you set forum_id to AUTH_LIST_ALL and type to AUTH_ALL a multidimensional
array containing the auth permissions for all types and all forums for that
user is returned

All results are returned as associative arrays, even when a single auth type is
specified.

If available you can send an array (either one or two dimensional) containing the
forum auth levels, this will prevent the auth function having to do its own
lookup

Well, decided to not use this mod or shoutbox now, removed both.

I installed the extra permission, but since I had the same problem as you did, I undid the changes in overall_header.tpl and the links came back.

I don't know if it will be any problem, unless you'd like to change permissions to the memberlist (guests able/unable to see, etc).

But then I installed the Shoutbox MOD and it is working fine. So I guess the problem is only in the overall_header template.

I'm also waiting for some enlightment, tho. :?

Yeah I just realised that also with the overall header. Took the <memberlist switch on> out and it's fine, I'm guessing that's part of the permissions, but beyond that I'm unsure.

But resolved it now, I guess.

Postby chuck on Fri 09. Apr, 2004 20:05

yess! solved it!!!

i had exactly the same problem
(links missing in header)

but just solved it!!! :mrgreen:

insert line-break!!!
the two switches may NOT be inserted in-line!!!

insert in overall_header.tpl like this:
Code: Select all
  ....
   <!-- BEGIN switch_memberlist_on -->
      <a href="{U_MEMBERLIST}" class="mainmenu">
   <!-- END switch_memberlist_on -->
  ....
