Okay -to be honest, I haven't tried your registration mod yet, but I've been playing with profile_add_body and usercp_register which seems to do the job.

I'm trying to change the order and add another section called user_info
which contains:
Location
Occupation
Birthday
Gender

with Real Name populated under username

But for some reason, it's not populating in the correct order

i.e. date -> real name
real name -> null (goes to date field as 7 july 1975!)
gender -> correct
occupation -> yahoo

etc

would it be possible to change your mod to allow these changes?

I'm not shure what exactly you need, but if you need to make the registration page different (shorter) than your original, then this is the mod needed for that
if you need to make it longer (e.g. new fields) then you will need to apply some other mods before (e.g. gender, birthday, real name and so on)

this mod only makes it posible to remove some of the fields, when register, so people finds it more easy to register

Hi Niels,
this is what I've got at the moment -
I have all the mods I want installed already - but for some reason the execution order seems flawed. I'm going to play with your version and see if that makes a difference

Conflict between Birthday MOD and Real Name MOD...

Postby goldfish_23 on Tue 22. Apr, 2003 14:56

Before applying the Birthday MOD (only part 1 so far) I had no problems, now however new registering users are having realname is showing as a date...
I don't understand what or where the exact conflict is... anyone got any ideas?

Any help appreciated... :)

I found and fixed it...

I'd just got the order wrong in the database cause included first_name and surname rather than realname... and had birthday in the middle rather than at the end...

was very easy to spot when I knew where to look... so thank-you very much!

:) :D :)
