Link code...

Postby zippy172 on Sat 15. Mar, 2003 20:52

I so dearly would like to use this mod so I can allow group moderators to mass email usergroups they are moderators of, but, I have no clue what code I should add :?

I would like to add a link within the group information page. In my test forum I have a test usergroup, it currently lists:

Group name : meet1
Group description : This is a test meet
Group membership : This is an open group: click to request membership [BUTTON]
Group type: [ARRAY OF RADIO SELECTORS][BUTTON]

I would like to add a further button to the end of the last line after the Update button that says "Email group" that of course only the moderators would see.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to achieve this?

Many many thanks in advance :)

ok, maybe I need to explain more for anyone to answer....
I want to put a button right next to the "remove selected" button in the usergroups section. I am guessing that groupcp_info_body.tpl and groupcp.php are the files that would have to be edited. I also want this button to be only seen by who I set the permissions to, which would be the moderator. So what would be the code that I would need to put in?
Please Help Me!

link it??? mate I dont even know how to get it started.

the download contains about 6 files and the instructions only tell you how to modify 3 files already in php.

There are no other instruction on how to get this to work, it is sead to be a drop in mod??? drop in where there are no instructions as to where to drop anything.

I use quite a few of the mods that neils has made and have always found them to have full instructions.

this one however has nothing.

Niels, are you still alive?
I would really love it if you could tell me how to put a link to mass_email.php in my UserGroups page that looks just like the "Remove Selected" button and can only be seen by a moderator....Please Help!

brando dont know if this will help or not but have you checked to see if there is a switch in the templates for mod or admin???

I know there are switches in the template for user loged in etc eg

<!-- begin user goged in --> The switch is something like that.

just wonder if there is also one for admin and mod eg
<!-- begin user is admin/mod or something -->

if thats the case then it would simply be a case of changing the template for groups and inserting the link code between the admin mod switch, thatway only the mod and admin will see the link???

might be worth asking on the phpbb forum

regards
