Are these files in the right folders ?

Postby BJRocker on Mon 11. Nov, 2002 21:10

Hi All,

Can someone please help me ? Could you tell me if I have placed these files in the right folders ? because when I've tested it the emails are sent, but the user's name its not showing in the email.

Group is "newsletter" with two users.

/forum "phpbb"/

unsubscribe.php
mass_email.php

/forum/admin/

admin_mass_email.php

languages/lang_english/

lang_main.php
lang_admin.php

/forum/languages/lang_english/email/

custom_email_newsletter.tpl

Also the "custom_email_newsletter.tpl" is this the file to be custom to suit with a "unsubscribe.php" link.

Thank Richard

Have you downloaded the lates zip, it doesen't look so, becouse this one does not require you to change the adin_mass_email.php

please update to newest version, and see if you still have problems

that is correct, I have removed PART 1, and fro now on only include the drop-in files (and then leave the admin_mass_email.php file as it is)

Where can I download the latest version?
In the downloadthreat there ist still a link to the version with part1!

I installed it, but I cannot find a link to mass_email.php

Have I to create the link myself?

Is it compatible to phpBB 2.04?

Where's the right place for the .tpl-file?

this is lates version, and it does still have a part1.txt (despite I wrote it diden't)
I installed it, but I cannot find a link to mass_email.php

yes, I did initial did not know where to place sutch link, in my preload I have made it in the PM section, but haven't made a how-to for it - simply make a link anywher for the
mass_email.php file
Is it compatible to phpBB 2.04?

yes, for any version of phpbb2 (2.0.x)
Where's the right place for the .tpl-file?

in the language folder, e.g. language/lang_english/email/

The included file is only a example, it should be named simmilar to your usergroup names - please see the part1.txt file for further info.
The included file custom_email_newsletter.tpl will be used when sending a mass email to the usergroup newsletter, if no template file exisit for the usergroup, it will default to the admin_send_email.tpl

hopes this clearify
