Problem adding new banners, mysql problem perhaps?

Postby Argzors on Tue 01. Feb, 2005 02:30

I have just tried to add a new banner for the first time but got this message. Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Couldn't update/insert into banners table

I think it is something to do with that ø symbol, I've removed it and played with the code and now it says it has added the banner - but it doesn't display on the forum.

It is supposed to be displaying here - http://www.wwiireenacting.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=1

I can update the options for it and they are changed in the registry but it's just not displaying. I HAVE updated the tpl files.

Help!

Similar problem

Hi there,

I had a similar problem.

After removing the symbol, my banner does display, but the image size gets set to 468x468 if I try and edit the banner properties. I followed the link provided http://mods.db9.dk/viewtopic.php?t=5891, and even changed the SQL,
Code: Select all
banner_height  mediumint(5)    UNSIGNED Nie  50
and
banner_width  mediumint(5)    UNSIGNED Nie  400

but it did not solve the problem.

Does anyone know what is going on here?

Thanks very much.
