Forum index is not in the banner placement list

My forum index does not show in the banner placement list. Obviously, this is some valuable real estate for a banner :)

The banners work great on all other forums, no errors etc. I am using php 2.0.11 and banner MOD Version: 1.1.4 (older version I know but it has worked very well for a long time).

Is there a way to make it work as is or would I have to upgrade to the latest banner mod? I hate to upgrade if I do not have to as everything else works at the moment :)

I am grateful for any help anybody can provide.
