I like this mod, its really great. Just one thing I have a lil problem with. I cant seem to figure out how to leave the default age blanck and let the users put it in. Is there anyway I can change this setting so its blanck by default and users can put in their age? Thanx.

This mod just screwed my me up. It's no good when you change the bday, it defaults back to 01 jan 1970. What a crock!

There is no problem with this mod if it is installed properly. The birthday defaults to blank if installed correctly.

You should be able to reset the birthdate to: Day - Month - Year ____

with no data in these fields.

If you can't do this, the mod is not installed properly.

When the birthdate is cleared, it is set to 999999 in the database.

I wouldn't rely on EasyMOD to get the installation correct.

Consider these issues with EasyMod

Code: Select all
## 2. EasyMOD
## -----------
## This MOD is compatible and can be installed by EasyMOD
## of Nuttzy (but is not officially EasyMOD Compliant)!
##
## However, on alpha releases of EM and meanwhile beta or
## final release some actions are NOT performed.
## You'll have to do them manually !
##
## 2.1 SQL commands are not performed
## -----------
## This MOD need a database update.
## Then, in any case if you install this MOD manually or using
## an alpha release of EM, please copying the *_db_update.php
## in your phpBB root directory, run it with your navigator,
## and then delete it from the phpBB root directory.
##
## Please, do it NOW! Before editing phpBB files by EM or manually!!!
## Otherwise, you may have an error message during your next
## connection.
##
## 2.2 Translation are not managed
## -----------
## Moreover, EM can not already manage actions for any other
## language than English (but language intructions are proceed
## to all installed languages in order to prevent errors).
## So the translations provided with this MOD must be installed
## manually if you need them.

My advice is to back out of the install, start again and manually install the mod.

Note any issues you have with the installation and post back here and I'll try to help. Please include: the PhpBB version and Template name you are using.

I'm not sure if I was clear in my response. Please accept my apology if I was not.

If the date is defaulting back to 1970, then most likely the date value is the database is getting set to ZERO(0) instead of (999999).

When the date field is initialized or cleared properly, it should be getting set to 999999 in the database.

That should help you track down your problem.

Hello everybody, I have the same problem. First, the birthday date was 1 january 1970... then 2 january 1970..
And there is not all. A new user, at the first login, has the popup (in august!!!) with greetings of his 35 years made in january!!!
But the popup doesn't work when there is really somebody's birthday...
