You didn't all the changes in includes/usercp_register.php then.

I looked includes/usercp_register.php. I done all the changes, but the situation is the same...

I'm not sure if I was clear in my response. Please accept my apology if I was not.

If the date is defaulting back to 1970, then most likely the date value is the database is getting set to ZERO(0) instead of (999999).

When the date field is initialized or cleared properly, it should be getting set to 999999 in the database.

That should help you track down your problem.

I have the same problem. This mod works great for current members but everyone new gets set in the database to 1 instead of 99999 whether they specify no birthday or specify a birthday and 1 is the default date of jan 2 1970. I believe some people are quick just to assume its an OE, I think more so it has to do with particular modifications not playing well together. I have gone over my usercp_register a million times, its straight but yet this problem perists for all my new users??? Anyone have any ideas? I can see I am obviously not the only person to have this problem. I would like to list my mods but to be honest I have a lot of nikels and dimes and a handful of big mods, it could take a while. If it comes down working with the developer of this mod or anyone with a lead I am willing to provide any details requested of me.

Scroll down to warmweer and see what he has to say. The fact is that the ordering of these variables on the insert is very crucial. after the 0,1 on the values and before user_active on the insert line resolved the issue when ALL ELSE FAILED. Thank you to Warmweer- 2 years later!!!
