[SOLUTION] Birthyear not mandatory anymore

I would like to remove the year being *mandatory* on the registration page ... tried a few things ... but I keep getting errors ...
Just want it to be their choice ... just a month/day is fine with me ... or they can enter everything ... or nothing at all ... I appreciate any help

If the year isn't mandatory, how can the age then be calculated? That's the main function of this mod!

You're absolutely right Kimberly. This is called Birthday Mod, not Age Mod.
We need to enhance this mod to allow the year to be an optional field, for those who want to have their birthday displayed in the index, while keeping their age private.
I have not looked at the code in detail myself, but I may give it a whirl. Maybe Niels will consider this enhancement in his next release.

I think there will be no new release. Niels is too busy with other things, and has not many time for his mods anymore. One of the reasons I'm cleaning up the forums, all that stupid spambots that are spamming over here and all the posts they placed are going to be removed, and in the mean time I will give support.

good solution with just a little more own initiative of yours.
For example as follows:
Declare users birthday as freely information for all (incl. new registrations)
If only the field of the age stays empty give it a constant instead of error message.
In addition remove the display of the age inside relevant files...
