Autogroup for new users

Postby Psychokiller1888 on Wed 07. Sep, 2005 18:26

Hello everybody!

Well, I don't know if this mod's written to do that, but something's goes wrong.

Well, I've have right permissions on my board, to see all the forums. Only the users in the "Registered Users" group can see the forums on the index. I've set the group to automaticcally add user with 0 posts to this group, which should mean they have registered and the max limit is fixed to 99999 posts. But unfortunately, it doesn't work, users aren't added automatically to that group after activating their account, which means they don't see anything on the index.

Could anyone help me please? Thank a lot in advence, and sorry for my bad english!

I think that's not an useful use of the mod. You can set the VIEW permissions of the forum on REG, so that al members with an account can see the forums. There is no need for this mod then ;)
Nee, ik geef geen antwoorden in het Nederlands, die horen thuis op www.phpbb.nl ;)

true it will only slow perfomance down - set it to REG like beever suggest.

How-ever you should still be able to make a autogroup for "0 poster" (all registerd users)
if this fail to work, I would look at your usercp_register.php file, to see if you have placed the code correctly (did you modify manually or by EM)
(if a how-to is EM ready, it will mostly be bullet prof, since a machine is more picky than a human. :D)
