"Add/Update new users" does not stay selected?

Postby paddy on Wed 16. Mar, 2005 13:47

I just installed this MOD and tested it by registering a new user account.

I have for example a group which consists of 0 posters, members who haven't posted anything yet.

So if a newbie registers, he would normally be added to this group, right? Well, my newly created account is not in that group for some reason.

I did notice that in the ACP, the option "Add/Update new users" never stays selected, even if you have selected it at first. Is this normal?

Yes, your new user should be aded to this group (0-poster) - just like here on mods.db9.dk, wher all new users are added to "everyone".

"Add/Update new users" (and delete) is a feature where admin may intantly request the group members to be updated based on the max/min post counters...

e.g. if admin change the "min/max post count" for a specific usergroup, he/she may deside if this change should be reflected imidiatly (select the checkbox) or just later when users are posting...

so it is not a error, that the checkbox does not stay selected - it is upto admin when this should be carryed out.

about your problem, I would go verify that the changes are done to usercp_register.php, and that you have uploaded the file prober.
(if a how-to is EM ready, it will mostly be bullet prof, since a machine is more picky than a human. :D)
